Jennifer Lopez's Friends Surprised She Opted To Do THIS For Her Wedding
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck surprised everyone by marrying in a Las Vegas chapel over the weekend.
Friends of "Jenny From the Block" were even more surprised by her decision to have a low-key wedding.
Insiders told Hollywood Life that JLo's pals were astounded by how low-key their wedding was and even praised the "Batman v. Superman" star with "transforming" her.
"Everyone at Jennifer's Las Vegas wedding was astounded by how this relationship with Ben had altered her."
"It's not a major surprise to anybody that she opted to elope; she'd been hinting that they would go that way to keep it more quiet, but it's a tremendous surprise that they were so low-key about it all," they continued.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck not only married at one of Las Vegas' most famed chapels, where packages start at $75, but she also stated that they changed into their outfits at the chapel rather than a five-star hotel suite.
The mom-of-two wrote in her "On the JLo" email that they just made it to the Little White Wedding Chapel before midnight and thanked them for remaining open late for a few minutes.
JLo also said that she donned a dress from an earlier film she appeared in, while Ben wore an item he already had in his wardrobe.
The pair also read their vows and gave each other the items they will "wear for the rest of our lives" during the ceremony.
Jennifer Lopez referred to her wedding day as the "best night of our lives," thanking the church for allowing them to use the break room where she changed into her gown while Ben changed into the men's room.
JLo and Ben's low-key wedding also demonstrates to her friends that they have the "kind of love" that makes everyone shine.

According to the insider, the actress from "Hustlers" being excited about changing in a strange room to wear her wedding gown is "not something any of her pals anticipated to hear from her."
It simply demonstrates JLo's love for her spouse, which "makes anything so romantic and joyful."
It's uncertain whether there will be another wedding to which many of their friends and family will be invited.
However, the insider claimed that Jennifer had previously told everyone that she had a fantasy wedding that couldn't be surpassed.
JLo and Ben were previously engaged in the early 2000s but called it quits after two years before they could marry.
