James Hetfield files a divorce against his wife Francesca just weeks after they spent their summer vacation in Mykonos.

"Metallica" star Hetfield reveals that he is ending his relationship with his wife of 25 years after he managed to file the divorce papers in secret.

According to a report from TMZ, the divorce was filed in Colorado earlier this year which contradicts the "family" bonding they had 2 weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, they visited Mykonos in Greece.

The rocker-family man brought his family to a Greek island to enjoy the mediterranean sea. 

It can be seen in the photos shared to his followers that he went to the beautiful place with his daughters, son and his wife, who all appeared to be happy and content.

In the report, Hetfield admitted that his wife plays an important role in his life because she helps him be mature in every possible way and also shared that Fran is also a big help for him as he deals with his anger issues more constructively.

But there are stories that cannot be seen in pictures and cannot be revealed right away. Weeks after their sweet family bonding, the couple are now calling their relationship off.

A source said that they manage to co-parent their children amid split news.

Meanwhile, last week, singer Hetfield celebrated his birthday and was also the time he got a chance to sing a "Grunge" classic in 2006.

"Alice in Chain" Jerry Cantrell said before that "Metallica" were "a huge thing" for him and his bandmates, adding that rocker Hetfield "commands respect and attention without it being self-seeking or egocentric... he's the godfather, man."

Hetfield joined the reunited "Alice In Chains" onstage at the Rock Am Ring festival to perform Dirt-era classic Would? in June 2, 2006.
