Jeff Garlin shared a health update months after his "The Goldbergs" exit.

Garlin has been subject to criticism in the past months after the misconduct allegations against him surfaced. After going through it, the former "The Goldbergs" star now shared a shocking and heartbreaking update regarding his life, particularly his health.

On Instagram, the 60-year-old comedian revealed he is suffering from bipolar disorder.

"Bipolar is a mother**ker. Sometimes it's just too much to deal with. I'm doing the best I can. This the first time that I've opened up about this. #bipolar," he captioned the post.

According to the American Psychiatric Association, mental illness is a brain disorder that leads to changes in a person's energy and mood. People with bipolar disorders also experience mood episodes - manic/hypomanic or depressive.

It remains unknown whether he is now seeking treatment to treat his mental health illness.

He shared the news hours before "The Goldbergs" scheduled 10th season premiere. The upcoming installment no longer includes his character, Murray Goldberg, after he was killed off before the new season.

According to the co-showrunner Alex Barnow, the team informed the actor that he would not be replaced in the series. During his conversation with Entertainment Weekly, he added that he did not know what the series' future holds for Garlin.

What Jeff Garlin Was Fired From "The Goldbergs"

Garlin's exit is rooted in the incidents that happened on the set of "The Goldbergs" season 9. In December 2021, he was asked to leave the show as soon as possible following serious allegations made against him.

Sources told Deadline that the actor had been physically and verbally abusive toward the staff members.

The news outlet added that he had one more day of shooting left in the original 18-episode Season 9 after the executives reduced his schedule.

A month after his exit, he sat down for an interview with Vanity Fair's Maureen Ryan, insisting that the speculations that he was fired from the show were not true. But after leaving the show, his current and former co-workers revealed that the environment on set changed a lot after Garlin left.

A "Goldbergs" employee also recalled the actor being verbally and emotionally abusive. But for Garlin, he was just being silly as part of his work as a comedian.
