Desiree Hartsock appeared on LIVE with Kelly & Michael the day after viewers witnessed her engagement to Chris Siegfried on The Bachelorette season finale on Monday.

Hartsock and Siegfried shared details surrounding their upcoming nuptials with the show's hosts, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, on Aug. 6.

The couple said they plan to wed in the summer of 2014 and would like to keep it small with a close-knit group of family and friends.

"We want to keep it intimate," Hartsock said on LIVE. "We would like to get married in the summer, next summer."

Neil Lane, a renowned celebrity jeweler who has provided engagement rings for all of the bachelors and bachelorettes, shared the details about the ring he provided for Seigfried's proposal. Lane told People Stylewatch that when the suitor asked the 26-year-old for her hand in marriage in Antigua, he presented a four-carat platinum and rose gold cushion-cut diamond to her.

Lane said he flew to Antigua with six rings for Siegried to choose from.

"Chris and I spent a long time talking and he was drawn to the symbolism of the platinum and rose gold bands entwined," Lane told People Stylewatch. "The ring entwines the bands into one, just as Des and Chris are two people wrapped into one couple and forever entwined. It's beautiful."

Lane revealed that the ring has more than 200 small diamonds, so that it's "always sparkling." He also shared that Seigfried was "very much in love" with his fiancé and that he called the bridal designer the "girl of his dreams."

Hartsock told PEOPLE she plans to design her wedding dress and is looking for a gown that is "twenties-inspired" and features a "sheath dress with beading or lace," she revealed.
