Sixteenth-century French astrologer and seer Nostradamus -- nicknamed "the prophet of doom" -- has predictions about events and things that could happen to the royal family in 2024.

As 2023 comes to a close, many are looking into the book of prophecies published by Nostradamus in 1555 to see what may happen in the following year. In his book titled "Les Propheties" ("The Prophecies"), his predictions are written in four lines of rhyming verses called quatrains.

One of the passages in Nostradamus' big book of prophecies talks about a "King of the Isles" being "driven out by force," per IFL Science.

Another passage reads, "Soon afterward [a disastrous war] a new King shall be anointed / Who, for a long time, will appease the earth."

Mario Reading, a British author and Nostradamus commentator, provided an analysis of the predictions of the French astrologer, who may have foreseen Queen Elizabeth II's death too, per Daily Mail.

According to Reading, the predictions point to King Charles III. The "King of the Isles" being "driven out by force" allegedly refers to the king "abdicating due to 'persistent attacks on both himself and his second wife.'"

Another line that says, "one who will have no mark of a king," allegedly refers to Prince Harry replacing him, not Prince William or any of the latter's children.

However, it should be noted that the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, officially announced through a statement in February 2021 that "they will not be returning as working members of the royal family."

Meanwhile, Nostradamus' predictions also include a climate catastrophe, as indicated in this line, "The dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when it is seen."

A great famine is also predicted: "Very great famine through [a] pestiferous wave."

According to Nostradamus' predictions, Pope Francis could also be replaced soon.

"Through the death of a very old Pontiff / A Roman of good age will be elected / Of him it will be said that he weakens his see / But long will he sit and in biting activity."

The 87-year-old pope is currently having health issues. Recently, he had a flu and an inflammation of his respiratory airways.
