A photo circulating on social media showing Donald Trump and his then-young children, Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the 90s has been confirmed to be real.

Taken by British photographer Dafydd Jones, the black-and-white image captured the four at the opening of the Harley Davidson Cafe in Manhattan on Oct. 19, 1993.

Jones recently verified the authenticity of the image, telling Snopes via email, "I can, of course, confirm that those people were all at the Harley Davidson Cafe, and I did do a picture in black and white on film."

The photo, which showed the real estate developer with his arms around a then-12-year-old Ivanka and then-9-year-old Eric as they stood next to Epstein, surfaced on social media following the late financier's death in 2019, prompting discussions and speculation.

Ashley Judd's 2020 post on X, formerly Twitter, featuring the image received more than 44,000 likes and 14,000 retweets.

It is not clear what the Trumps and Epstein were doing standing side-by-side or if they were even speaking at the time the photo was snapped.

While this photo has been confirmed to be authentic, another image from the same event that circulated online in 2020 was found to be altered.

The snap showed Trump and Ivanka posing with Epstein. But Reuters confirmed that the image was Photoshopped to add the late financier.

Epstein, who faced charges related to the sex trafficking of minor girls, was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019, in what was ruled as a suicide by hanging.

The relationship between Trump and Epstein has been a subject of scrutiny over the years, with the two having a shared social circle in New York and Florida.

A well-known photo from 2000 captured Trump, Epstein and the latter's partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, at Mar-a-Lago, the former president's private club in Florida.

In a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump was quoted as saying of his friendship with Epstein, "I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy."

"He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it -- Jeffrey enjoys his social life," he reportedly added.

However, Trump later distanced himself from Epstein in 2019, asserting, "I had a falling out with him a long time ago. I don't think I've spoken to him for 15 years."

Recently unsealed court documents related to Epstein's sexual abuse allegations brought Trump's connection with the financier back into the spotlight.

Names of powerful individuals associated with Epstein, including Trump and former President Bill Clinton, were mentioned, though they were not accused of any wrongdoing.

Amid the renewed attention, Trump took to Truth Social last Tuesday to denounce reports of his association with Epstein, particularly addressing fake images of the two circulating online.

In his post, Trump also shared screenshots of an article about Mark Ruffalo apologizing for posting the artificial intelligence-generated photos of the former president and Epstein on his plane.

"This is A.I., and it is very dangerous for our Country! I was never on Epstein's Plane, or at his 'stupid' Island. Strong Laws ought to be developed against A.I. It will be a big and very dangerous problem in the future!" Trump wrote.
