Florida Georgia Line and Nelly took to the stage at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday for a live performance of Cruise (Remix).

In mid-July, the band matched the all-time record for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart when Cruise was on top for a 21st cumulative week. The song entered a four-way tie for the longest chart-topping run in the chart's 69-year history. The original version topped the charts in December/January and following the release of the Nelly remix in May, it ranked at No. 1 for 16 weeks dating to April 20.

"Baby you a song/You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise," the band sings in the chorus. "Down a back road blowin' stop signs through the middle/Every little farm town with you."

The band was nominated Sunday in the categories Choice Summer Music Star: Group and Choice Country Song. Click here for a full list of all the nominees.

The American country music duo, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, met at Nashville's Belmont University. The band now travels as a part of Luke Bryan's 2013 Dirt Road Diaries tour. They perform Aug. 15 in Zanesville, Ohio.

"It's safe to say it's been a real whirlwind for us," Hubbard said of the band's success. "It's been awesome."

"It's a dream come true," Kelley added, "although it still kind of feels like just yesterday that we were writing the first couple of songs on the back of Tyler's tailgate."
