Demi Lovato performed her new hit single Made in the USA live at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.

The 20-year-old took to the stage in black leather pants, a cropped leather jacket over a black and white T-shirt and black heels. She surprised the crowd by having Nick Jonas play the drums during the set.

"No matter how far we go, I want the whole world to know/I want you bad, and I wont have it any other way/No matter what the people say/I know that we'll never break," she sings in the chorus. "Cause our love was made, made in the USA."

The song's music video was released in mid-July and it praised the brave American troops. At the time of its release Lovato wrote on Twitter, "I dedicate my video to all of the troops, anyone who has passed away over seas and to this INCREDIBLE country that I'm so thankful 4."

The X Factor judge was nominated in the category of Choice TV Personality- Female alongside Heidi Klum (America's Got Talent), Erin Andrews (FOX Sports), Cat Deeley (So You Think You Can Dance) and Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With The Stars). Lovato's song Heart Attack was nominated for Choice Single: Female Artist and the singer herself was nominated for Candie's Choice Style Icon.
