Some big changes may be ahead for Community when season 5 airs on NBC.

Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Shirley Bennett on the show, talked to CBSNews on a Thursday about the new season and what fans should expect to see.

"I will say that there are five big changes in everyone's life," Brown said. "It's going to be good."

Brown remained tight-lipped about other plot points from season 5, but the actress did reveal her personal opinion about the first episode.

"The first episode is really good. It's really good," she confirmed. "So I can't wait for everybody to see it."

She also said that returning to the set for season 5 was like "getting the band back together."

Season 5 of the sitcom finds showrunner Dan Harmon back at the helm, after being fired at the end of season 3. Brown likened Harmon's return to having a regular cast member back in the group.

Donald Glover's departure from the show, which has been another heavily publicized story, will not be a bitter one, according to Brown. Glover played Troy Barnes since the beginning of the series, but he will only be in five episodes of the fifth season before leaving the show.

"We're happy to have him for what we have him for and I believe Dan Harmon is going to write an amazing send-off to him," Brown said. "So it's bittersweet."
