Little is known about what will happen in season 5 of Community but one guest actor has been confirmed to return.

Rob Corddry, who played Jeff's (Joel McHale) former lawyer colleague Alan Connor in multiple episodes of the series, will be featured in the season 5 premiere, according to a Tuesday report by TVLine. Alan led the charge to get Jeff fired from his job, which is what led Jeff to community college in the first place.

Alan was last seen in the season 3 finale defending Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) and Pierce (Chevy Chase) in their sandwich shop case. The TVLine report claims that Alan may be coming back for the purpose of getting Jeff back to Greendale Community College, considering he graduated in the season 4 finale.

Series creator Dan Harmon, who was fired at the end of season 3 and is returning for season 5, revealed recently that bringing Jeff back to Greendale would be a "top priority" in the first few episodes.

Another thing to expect as Community comes back is an early exit for Donald Glover as Troy Barnes. The actor only signed on for five episodes and will be leaving the show to focus on his rapping career.
