Falling Skies will be receiving another troubled youth when it returns next summer for season 4.

The TNT sci-fi drama takes place in a post-alien invasion world where kids are not only in constant danger of being harnessed, but they are also forced to grow up quickly and align themselves with whatever side they may think will keep them alive.

Now a young girl named Mira will join up with the 2nd Mass despite her alien leanings.

"A major new recurring character will be introduced in the season four premiere: Mira, a young East Indian girl who is being brain-washed with Espheni propaganda, but has a bit of a rebellious streak in her," promises E! Online. "Expect to see her team up with Matt and a few other kids in order to fight back."

While Matt Mason (Maxim Knight) may hate the aliens, he is going through his own early teenage rebellious phase and has a knack for getting into trouble. It makes one wonder if this partnership is a good idea.

As for the 2nd Mass as a whole, it looks like it will be back to basics - no Charleston and no Volm, at least for a little while.

"I think that part of [the season 3 finale] was a little bit of getting the band back together," said former showrunner Remi Aubuchon, according to TV Fanatic. "I think that also Tom's gone through this journey this season where he has tried to figure out a way to end the pain as quickly as possible for the Earth, for himself, for his family, and the realization I think he comes to at the end is that, 'No, it's going to be a long, long battle, and we're the ones that are going to have to do the job.'"

Look for Falling Skies to return next summer with a full 12 episodes.
