One of the producers of Homeland gave a few new teases recently regarding the upcoming third season.

Executive producer Alex Gansa revealed to The Huffington Post in a Thursday interview that the new season will still focus on Brody's (Damian Lewis) family.

"We brought two new writers on, and one of the first things we did was talk to them about the show as people who were fans of it," Gansa explained. "One of the first questions was, 'Are you interested in the Brody family dynamic without Brody being in the house? Is that something you'd be interested in watching?'

"And there was a unanimous, 'Yeah, that's something we're interested in watching. We're interested in those characters.' Again, being so inside the show, you just don't know that."

Enstars previously reported that Brody will be in exile for at least the first few episodes of season 3, after leaving the country in the season 2 finale due to being framed for the bombing at Langley.

Gansa also revealed that the series would be undergoing a big change in the upcoming season compared to the previous two.

"The show is going under a major reinvention this season," Gansa said. "And I imagine we'll be going under an even bigger one next year." Gansa did not reveal exactly what kind of reinvention that would be, but with the bombing at Langley and Brody on the run, things are bound to be different when the series picks up again.
