Kim Gordon, former member of Sonic Youth, revealed that she would be appearing on an upcoming episode on Season 3 of Girls.

In an interview with Slate, published on Sept. 3, Gordon disclosed that she would be guest starring on the show -- but did not give away any details about the nature of her role.

Gordon has also previously guest starred in Gossip Girl and Gilmore Girls.

In a recent interview with MTV, Girls star Allison Williams (who plays Marnie Michaels) suggested that the next season of the show will be "light-hearted."

"I think it's a very funny season. I think it's pretty lighthearted, but also it's just the third year in a row you get to see these girls, so I think people have gotten to know us pretty well by now and so you get to see different dimensions of all of us," she said.

Williams also spoke about her character's romantic situation. While Marnie was still trying to get back with Charlie (Christopher Abbott) in the last season, seems like the break-up will stick as Abbott is no longer on the show. Williams spoke about the kind of guy Marnie should be seeing. "[She needs] someone who respects her but she would have to start respecting herself," she said.

In other Girls related news, Lena Dunham spoke about how she felt good about how she looked when she was younger, in an interview for the cover story of Marie Claire UK's October issue:

"This could very easily be taken out of context and I think it's funny now, but I remember looking in the mirror as a kid and it would be like for an hour at a time and I'd be like, 'I'm just so beautiful. Everybody is so lucky that they get to look at me.' And of course that changes as you get older, but I may have held on to that little kid feeling that was me alone in my bathroom."
