The cast of Falling Skies has already headed back to Vancouver to begin shooting season 4, and the cast seems stoked on the new storyline.

"Vancouver, I'm back! Season 4 of Falling Skies, here we go!" tweeted actor Drew Roy (Hal Mason) last Monday, and he wasn't the only Mason brother excited to be back on set.

The 2nd Mass Heads Back To Basics in Falling Skies Season 4

"Back in Vancouver for the fourth season of Falling Skies! Shooting starts next week. Wild season in store...," teased Connor Jessup (Ben Mason) on Wednesday.

What is it the cast is so excited about? From the few spoilers that have leaked so far, it looks like the 2nd Mass is in for an interesting season when they return to TNT next summer.

TNT's Falling Skies To Receive Video Game Treatment

When viewers left Tom and Co. at the end of "Brazil," it looked like day-to-day business was going to return to a pre-Charleston state. As the show scales back on the full fledged sci-fi takeover that happened in season 3, Noah Wyle (Tom Mason) states that the upcoming episodes will focus more on characters, according to Zap2It.

What Will Become of Falling Skies' Anne and Lexi?

This is probably a good thing considering the main problems at the moment to do not lie with the Volm or the Espheni but rather with the Masons and their cohorts. Tom and Anne (Moon Bloodgood) must rebuild their relationship, Hal and Maggie (Sarah Carter) have to deal with the death of Karen (Jessy Schram) and Maggie's more militaristic nature, Lourdes' fate must be decided, and everyone needs to find out what exactly is going on with the miraculously growing half-human/half-alien "baby" Lexi.

A New Character Joins Falling Skies' 2nd Mass

As the writers attempt to untangle those plotlines, the actors have a chance to build and strengthen their characters. Now that is something both the cast and viewers can look forward to.
