Vin Diesel's latest movie is expected to top a relatively weak box office this weekend.

Riddick, the third installment in the Chronicles of Riddick film series, is expected to take the no. 1 spot at the box office this weekend with an $18 million gross, according to Deadline. The film grossed $7.3 million on Friday and is expected to lead through the weekend as the only new mainstream release debuting this weekend.

Historical drama Lee Daniels' The Butler is expected to stay at no. 2 this weekend with an estimated $8.2 million weekend. The Oprah Winfrey-Forest Whitaker drama will have a total gross of $92 million by the end of the weekend, bringing it close to the coveted $100 million mark.

The Jennifer Aniston-Jason Sudeikis comedy We're the Millers is holding strong at no. 3 in its fifth week of release. The comedy is expected to gross an additional $7.7 million this weekend after a $2.2 million Friday. It is close to $125 million total, which is particularly strong for an R-rated comedy.

The Spanish-language film Instructions Not Included is expected to retain its no. 4 spot this weekend with an additional $6 million. The film debuted to $10.3 million over the Labor Day weekend, this highest opening for a Spanish-language film in American history.

Rounding out the top 5 this week is last week's no. 1 film, One Direction: This Is Us. The film made $15.8 million over the Labor Day weekend but is only expected to make $3.4 million this weekend.

The rest of the top 10 is mostly comprised of films that will soon be exiting theaters. Planes, Elysium, Blue Jasmine, The World's End and Getaway are all expected to land in the top 10 with totals between $2 and $4 million. One Direction: This Is Us may be among this group if it underperforms.
