BBC's hit TV series, Sherlock, continues to garner an increasing amount of attention for its upcoming season, which will be launching next month.

Benedict Cumberbatch, who dons the lead role of Sherlock Holmes, spoke about the upcoming installment, which will feature him coming out of the woodwork to Watson (Martin Freeman) after faking his death, according to Bustle.

"There's a reunion that doesn't necessarily go to plan. There's a union as well, in the shape of a marriage, which Sherlock takes part in, so we see that," he explained.

Although Cumberbatch clearly has a lot of acting work to be done as Holmes ahead of him on the program, he did admit that the role is very close to his heart.

"I felt very sentimental on the last day of shooting... He's f****ing hard work, always been, but I love him, and I got sad that I wasn't going to see him again for awhile."

Sherlock is set to kick off on Thursday, October 31 on the BBC. Interestingly enough, upon airing ,over two years will have passed since the program was last on TV. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest information on the popular series.
