A Long Island man said to be a disgruntled employee of a light fixture business reportedly walked into one of his company's offices in East Garden City, N.Y. on Wednesday and shot two people, resulted in one death.

According to NBC New York, a nearby shopping mall was locked down, following the incident. The police are on the hunt for the 64-year-old Sang Ho Kim, who's said to be armed and dangerous, in association with the shooting. The NYPD investigated his home, which is located in Fresh Meadows.

Kim allegedly made his way into the Savenergy office on South Street near the Roosevelt Field Mall just after 10 a.m. and shot two victims. Soon after, he fled the scene in a white Honda SUV.

A police official identified the surviving victim as 68-year-old John Choi, the founder of Savenergy, saying he's currently in critical condition at Nassau University Medical Center. The slain employee has yet to be identified.

Law enforcement stated that there was no evidence suggesting that the suspect was on a random shooting spree. The attack was seemingly targeted at a specific person inside the office "over a bad business deal," stated Nassau County Police Chief Steven Skrynecki.

Kim has a past criminal record with arrests dating back to 1997 when he was faced with a charge of driving as an unlicensed operator in Westchester. In both 1998 and 2006, he was booked for a DWI charges in Manhattan's Riverbank State Park. Kim was also incarcerated in 2008 for trademark counterfeiting in New Jersey.
