Lena Dunham reacted to the Saturday Night Live spoof of Girls on Sept. 25, saying that it was a "true honor" to be featured on the late night variety show.

The 39th season of Saturday Night Live, which premiered on Sept. 25, was hosted by Tina Fey with musical guests Arcade Fire. (The band's 30 minute concert special was aired right after the show.)

Mindy Kaling had invited Dunham to watch the season premiere at her place. Kaling even shared a photo of Dunham watching the show on Twitter writing, "Watching @lenadunham enjoy Blerta on #snl's #girls in my living room."

A few hours after the show aired, the Girls co-creator went on Twitter to express her joy at being spoofed:

"The SNL parody of Girls was a true honor," she wrote.

A few minutes later, Dunham also commented on the new lineup of female actors on SNL.

"Very excited about the current lineup of SNL ladies. They are funny like whoa," she tweeted.

In the spoof new cast member Noël Wells portrayed Hannah Horvath (Lena Dunham), and Fey played the Hannah's newest roommate Blerta, an Albanian refugee. The two discussed their issues like OCD, but Fey's character revealed that she did not suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder but "old cow's disease." The spoof also featured small bits capturing the other main characters, Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke), and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet).

It seemed like Fey did make good on her promise of Breaking Bad cameos, which she spoke about in the promo for the season premiere, as Aaron Paul made a surprise appearance on the show.
