Claudia's character may return for season 2 of The Americans, despite actress Margo Martindale starring in a CBS sitcom this fall.

Martindale played the KGB Supervisor in 10 episodes of the first season. In the season finale, she was re-assigned back to Russia on Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth's (Keri Russell) request.

When Parade asked if she would return for season 2, Martindale was relatively confident that viewers will see her on the show again.

"That's certainly not over for me, which is a good thing," she said.

Martindale will be one of the stars of the new CBS comedy The Millers, which she finds more difficult than dramas like The Americans.

"The thing that's interesting to me is that so many people applaud actresses who go from comedy to drama, but they weirdly look down on actresses who go from drama to comedy," she explained. "Comedy's hard. It takes a lot of muscles to make it look easy."

Enstars previously reported on Russell's comments about wanting Martindale back on the show.

"I still feel like we could weave her in one or two episodes," Russell said in an August interview. "She's too good to let go, but I don't know how the timing works with that."

In other Americans news and spoilers, the producers are looking to cast a recurring character that will debut in season 2. The character is male and is described as charming, smart and politically savvy. E! Online first reported the casting info and said that the character might even be a new love interest for Elizabeth.

Season 2 of The Americans premieres in early 2014.
