Pop star Justin Bieber was snapped getting carried on the shoulders of two bodyguards up the Great Wall of China on Sept. 30.

The 19-year-old singer -- clad in a white hoodie, dark sunglasses and black pants -- sat on the shoulders of two men as they walked up the historic site. Bieber was accompanied by a group of friends, one being his close pal Alfredo Flores. At the end of the long hike, Flores posted on Instagram a photo of all the friends with the caption, "We made it up top!! #GreatWall."

Bieber is currently in China for a stop on his Believe world tour. He is scheduled to perform in Dalian on Oct. 2 and Shanghai on Oct. 5 before traveling to Japan and South Korea. He performs in Tokyo on Oct. 7.

Fans were not happy about Bieber getting carried up the Great Wall of China and many took to Twitter to express their disappointment. Commenters include fed-up Canadians who begged the United States to adopt Bieber as one of their own.

"Justin, dude, u actually asked people to carry you? Someone's going a little diva I see," one tweet read.

"I feel for Justin's bodyguards," another tweeted.

On Weibo, China's microblogging website, a Phoenix TV presenter posted,"The way this 'xiao pi hai' Justin Bieber hits the Great Wall is really extravagant," according to CNN.

"Xiao pi hai" is a word used to describe Chinese toddlers who wear toilet-training-friendly pants that expose their bare rear ends,

Bieber made no comment of the hike on social media. Before the left the States he tweeted, "Gonna have to let u know something big before I head to china."
