Character stats can be easily increased in Grand Theft Auto 5 after performing a sequence of tasks.

The three characters in the game are adept at certain strengths, such as Michael's fighting, Franklin's driving and Trevor's flying, but it is possible to increase those stats even more.

Adding to the characters' special abilities allows maximum storage and duration to become larger and longer, respectively. In order to increase Michael's special ability gamers must accumulate multiple headshots, especially during sprees.

Increase Franklin's special ability by driving against traffic and activating his special. Trevor's ability can increase through both taking and dealing damage.

As for other stats that can be increased, give the character a 1 percent increase in stamina every time they run 18 yards, swim for 1 minute or cycle for 1 minute. This allows the character to perform better in springing, swimming and pedaling.

Shooting accuracy is increased with every headshot achieved. Boost the character's shooting stat by going to the Shooting Range and completing the required challenges. Gold Medals increase the stat by 3 percent, Silver Medals by 2 percent and Bronze Medals by 1 percent.

Driving ability is made easier by simply doing a lot of driving. Increase the ability even more by performing trick maneuvers, wheelies and especially stunt jumps.

Similarly, the flying and lung capacity abilities are increased through practicing each task for long periods of time. Attending flight school helps significantly with flying ability and not using scuba gear helps with lung capacity.

Finally, stealth is an important stat to work on since it increases speed and reduces noise emitted while in Stealth Mode. The best way to increase stealth is through successfully performing Stealth Takedowns.
