The day after the premiere of American Horror Story: Coven, the cast and crew sat down with TV Guide to preview the season to come.

Wednesday night's premiere featured Madame LaLaurie (Kathy Bates) being unearthed after being buried alive for 180 years. As the slaveholder readjusts to modern life she will be faced with a changed culture. Gabourey Sidibe - who plays Queenie - said that the roles will be switched in their interactions.

"I make her my slave," Sidibe revealed. "The thing is, she's from a different time where all she knows is me being a slave and she comes at me like that. 'No, actually you're going to be subservient.' It's really, really fun to have a slave."

Bates added, "Imagine the worst racist you know having to be the slave of a black person who they loathe? The poetic justice is genius."

Another big plot point in the premiere was Madison (Emma Roberts) flipping over a bus full of frat guys with Kyle (Evan Peters) on it. In the next episode, Madison and Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) will try to reassemble Kyle using the best features of several men.

"[Zoe] and [Madison] go to the morgue because [Zoe] is in love with [Kyle]. They find out that he and a lot of the other boys have been badly mangled and decapitated, and Madison decides to build the perfect boyfriend," series co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed.

Murphy added that Kyle does not speak for the first six episodes of the season and has to rely on body language to communicate with Zoe and the others.

Fans disappointed to witness Lily Rabe's Misty be burned at the stake should not assume that she'll be dead for long. Murphy said that Misty would be using her regenerative powers to bring herself back to life.

"I love her character," Murphy explained. "Her character is obsessed with Stevie Nicks. The season really is an allegory or metaphor for any minority in the country where you feel alone."

The next episode of American Horror Story: Coven airs Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. on FX.
