Katy Perry, John Mayer Dating News: Couple Spotted On Dinner Date, Going Strong? [PHOTOS & VIDEOS]
Katty Perry and her on again off again boyfriend and fellow singer John Mayer are still going strong.
They were seen leaving Arlington Club Steakhouse and Sushi on New York City's Upper East Side after a casual, romantic dinner date Thursday night.
According to Daily Mail, The Roar singer kept it spicy with thigh high boots and an ALICE by Temperley Mini Poppy Dress in Black from the Resort 2014 collection. She kept her hair casual with loose curls.
Mayer was seen rocking a denim jacket with a brown shirt and white tee as the two headed to a car.
They have been pretty public about their relationship lately. Mayer opened up about their duet, Who You Love on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
During his Oct. 3 appearance, Kimmel asked Mayer what it was like to be in the studio with his love interest.
Mayer said, "She was fantastic. It was a really great experience and the song is one of these like old FM '70s and '80s sort of like duets. I listened back to it; it's, like, really convincing. And I watched it get made and I'm still kind of taken aback."
Perry is also amazed by her boyfriend's lyrical skills and use of words. But not just when it comes to writing hit songs.
She told Billboard Magazine in an article that was released Sept. 27, "He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting. I always tell him, 'Darling, you know I'm going to have to give your mind to science after you've passed, because we're going to have to understand how all these sparks work.' We'll be in bed, and he'll be doing the crossword puzzle. Every night, he tries to finish it in under 10 minutes. When he puts his mind to something, he really gets it done very well. I always ask for his help."
Mayer's response? "It is true, but with a huge caveat. That I can do, it is the New York Times puzzle but it's just the Monday...By Wednesday I usually give up. That's very sweet of her to call me a genius," he told Kimmel.
