Singer Christina Milian admitted this week that she was shocked about being eliminated from Dancing With the Stars Monday.

Milian and her pro dancer partner Mark Ballas were the fourth couple eliminated this season on Dancing With the Stars on Monday's episode. The elimination was seen as a shock to the studio audience, considering they were tied for the highest score from the judges that night. Though there may have been no one more surprised than Milian herself.

"I was shocked," she told reporters after the show. "After having a great performance you feel a lot more confident but you know in the back of your mind a lot of this is swayed by votes, a lot of it has to do with that."

Milian and Ballas danced the cha-cha on Monday's episode, receiving a score of 28 out of 30. It is possible that there weren't enough people voting for them after guest judge Julianne Hough's comment last week about Ballas always being the center of attention in their dances.

"We knew last week wasn't the best week based on everything with Julianne and all of that stuff that happened," Milian admitted. "We didn't know what the outcome would be."

The singer, who is also a co-host of NBC's hit singing competition series The Voice, clarified her statement by saying she did not want to blame Hough for their elimination.

"We probably could have worked on our dance a little more, but we did do a great job," Milian said, regarding last week's dance. "Who knows? I don't want to blame it on her."
