Sarah Tressler, a 30-year-old journalist and stripper, has filed a complaint alleging she was fired by the Houston Chronicle because she didn't say she worked as a stripper on her application.

Tressler announced she filed the complaint to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at a press conference Thursday.

"I was very upset that I was fired because I had been told by many editors that I was doing a good job," Tessler said in a statement.

"There was no question on the form that covered my dancing. I answered the questions on the form honestly."

Her lawyer, celebrity attorney Gloria Allred stated:

"Sarah's work as a dancer is lawful and is not a crime."

"It does not, has not and will not affect her ability to perform her job as a journalist," Allred said.

Tressler reprotedly has a master's degree in journalism from New York University and worked as a society reporter for the publication starting in January.

She reportedly was fired in March.
