Life - and death - won't be getting any easier for the cursed teens of Ravenswood when the series returns in January.

It seems like every clue Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), Remy (Britne Oldford), Miranda (Nicole Gale Anderson), Luke (Brett Dier), and Olivia (Merritt Patterson) manage to uncover only pushes them closer to death.

When the ABC Family paranormal drama resumes with "Revival," Caleb will just be returning from a trip back to Rosewood. Although he just had a chance to see his Pretty Little Liars girlfriend, Caleb's mind will still be preoccupied with how he felt seeing Miranda again during his brief brush with death.

Meanwhile, Miranda will be attempting to scare some answers out of Mrs. Grunwald (Meg Foster) and Remy realizes someone wants her to stay unconscious after her sleepwalking spells, according to Spoiler TV.

While those three have their hands full with purely the supernatural, the Matheson twins are still battling their father's death in the real world. Although Luke and Olivia know that the murder is somehow connected to the curse, Anderson says that characters will find out much more about their patriarch's death, Olivia's boyfriend (Luke Benward), the creepy red-coated child, and Raymond Collins' (Steven Cabral)interest in their mother.

"Everything with the Matheson family comes to a head [when we come back], especially in episodes 8 and 9, revolving around their father's death and Dillon the boyfriend," Anderson told Zap2It. "Dillon is actually a really cool character. He's been the sweetest as can be boyfriend, but later on in the season, you'll find out he has a connection to the past that completely takes Olivia off-guard."

A new promo for the second half of the season also shows Luke behind bars, which can't signal anything good for the five cohorts.

Ravenswood will return Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
