Just when it seemed like Macklemore and his right hand producer Ryan Lewis were taking over, the duo has decided to go away for a while.

Their manager, Zach Quillen, revealed the news to XXL magazine Monday.

Quillen said, "[We will] I imagine go to the Grammys in January this year and afterwards, kind of call it quits for a bit and take some time off. The guys are gonna get into the studio next year and see what happens. But we're in no rush."

While they might be making music in the studio during their hiatus, fans won't be hearing anything from them for that time period.

"There's no Macklemore mixtape or attempt at kind of staying around. I think we're gonna disappear for a little while and try to make some good music and find an interesting way of putting it out. I think it'll be a quiet year."

Macklemore and Lewis stormed on to the music scene with their hit song Can't Hold Us followed by Thrift Shop that became an anthem around the globe. They just snagged their fourth top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs on Nov. 21st with their newest single White Walls, according to Billboard.

Same Love, as well as the popular songs mentioned previously, have also made the list this year. Eminem was the only artist to do four top 10 songs on the list in 2013. Macklemore and Lewis now rank third, along with Ying Yang Twins and K-Ci & JoJo, for the most top 10 songs by a duo since December of 1992.
