As fans of the hit British-American drama, Downton Abbey, continue to patiently wait it out for its season 4 Christmas Special, most will surely be sad to find out that actress Elizabeth McGovern, who plays the part of Cora, by be making an exit following its next series.

McGovern, 52, caught her fans off guard when she came clean that she has become increasingly "obsessed" with her singer songwriter career, and has intentions of focusing more on her Sadie and the Hotheads band, according to the Sunday Express on Nov. 24.

"I'm completely obsessed by this musical part of my life. It's new and such a challenge. I would never have dreamed of myself fronting this band like this even five years ago - it was just a little hobby," she said.

Inspiration for McGovern's musical aspirations has even sparked itself while she's been on the set of Downton Abbey, as she speaks of one situation in particular where she was around actor Alan Leech (Tom Branson).

"I found myself writing a verse to a song while I was on set looking at Alan Leech saying his lines," she said.
