They say that the freestyle dance determines the winner on DTWS, and it most certainly did in last night's final results show where Green Bay Packers Donald Driver and his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd won the mirrorball trophy. Their freestyle country themed dance on Monday night earned them rave reviews and a perfect score from the judges. Carrie Ann said it was her favorite final and favorite dance of the night Len said, "Listen Donald, in football catches win matches and chances win dances. You came out an enormous jock and went right left field. fantastic!"

Donald winning the title came as a bit of a shock - with all fingers pointing to Katherine Jenkins, who "had raised the bar so high" with her perfect dance techniques. She was definitely by far the best, technical dancer of the show. But Donald came out like a dark horse and had been improving every week. HIs country free style dance which saw him and Peta dressed as cowboys took all the judges (including us at home), by surprise and it was just simply WOW.

Donald's last dance with Peta was a sexy number - cha cha cha. Donald's performance impressed Len so much that he said "we've had some great footballers on the show ever the years but i feel that you're the best we've had."

"Another massive hit for Donald the magnificent," said Bruno. "You've been so smart. You really have the strategy of the champion. You improve week after week."

Peta Murgatroyd, the talented blond beauty by Donald's side week after week - seemed very emotional last night. She was the only professional dancer on the season 14 finale that has never won a mirror Ball Trophy. It was only her second season on the show. On Monday evening, she had tweeted: "I'm so grateful to have come this far...I truly never thought I'd be here, im giving this ALL I have."

Peta is from Australia and studied classical ballet at the age of 4. She trained for 12 years. The was crowned the Australian State champion within three months of beginning ballroom training. She joined DWTS on season 13 as a professional with basketball player Metta World Peace and were the first couple to be voted off the show.
