Hannibal's Will Graham is finally ready to fight back, although his efforts are slightly hampered by his incarceration.

When the NBC drama returns for its second season, Will (Hugh Dancy) has realized some of the truth behind his murderous psychologist, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), but the epiphany comes a little too late. Picking up shortly after last summer's finale, season 2 will deal with the fallout of Will's arrest and the subsequent hurdles he must now face - including going on trial for his alleged crimes, according to TV Guide.

However, now that "the scales have fallen from his eyes" and he is equipped with the realization that he has been used, Will is ready to take on his new nemesis.

"It think the theme is a scrappy Will Graham coming out swinging," said series creator Bryan Fuller in an interview with TV Line. "So we saw over the course of the first season him victimized in a very specific way and now we get to see what happens when he fights back and the lengths that Will Graham will go to not only defend himself but defend those around him and protect them."

"I'm interested in seeing Will turn what powers he has in a more focused way towards that and perhaps be more calculated, more manipulative even, then we ever saw him in the first season."
