Due to his involvement with Gemma (Katey Sagal), Nero (Jimmy Smits) is somewhat like a family member to SAMCRO in FX's hit TV series, Sons of Anarchy.

However, much like the Sons, Nero is undoubtedly not exempt from danger as the unveiling of a lie could change his predicament, especially when it comes to Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) and the Mayans .

To make matters worse, Nero was betrayed by Jax (Charlie Hunnam) for the sake of the latter's intention to get out of the gun-selling business, as the SAMCRO prez took out a brunt of Lin Triad members in order to assure that the firearms he's trying to halt selling end up going to August Marks (Billy Brown) and the One-Niners.

Judging by the promo video, which shows Jax viciously punching Nero in the face, the situation could get pretty ugly between the two.

While Jax's situation moving forward with Nero doesn't look too promising, the latter's relationship with Gemma has surely helped take the edges off any looming conflicts, which may not be enough come the season 6 finale.

Smits recently spoke to TV Guide on Dec. 3 about his character's dynamic with Gemma, whose love may not exactly be the best thing for his psych.

"He's definitely wrestling with that. It's no accident that both of them have these scars on their chest that mean much more than just a physical ailment. They fulfill each other. and you've seen this very awkward courtship that's happened between them. They've bonded in a lot of ways. So he's a smart guy, but sometimes love blurs the lines and makes things a little foggy for the best of us," he said.
