It will be the Pakistani side taking on Sri Lanka in the 1st T20, as the two teams will look to play at their optimal performance levels in a two-match series in the United Arab Emirates, which begins on Wednesday.

After just finishing up a home tour versus South Africa prior to winning a three-match ODI series, Pakistan will look to harness that momentum against the Lankans.

However, the Islanders had their series against New Zealand interrupted by wet weather, as the players will surely be happy to take the field once again ahead of the World Cup.

"The advantage Pakistan's got is that they have played a lot of intentional cricket in the last six-eight months whereas unfortunately we haven't played nearly as much because of weather and various other things," Sri Lanka coach Graham Ford stated, according to IB Times.
