One of the stars of Glee might be following in her co-star Amber Riley's footsteps and participating in the next season of Dancing With the Stars.

The latest rumor from GWL.com claims that Naya Rivera wants to be on Dancing With the Stars when the show premieres season 18 in March 2014. Rivera is best known for her role as Santana Lopez in Glee in addition to being the fiancée of rapper Big Sean. A source close to production alleges that Rivera is "very excited about this opportunity," as the young star plans her debut studio album and her impending wedding.

If Rivera joins Dancing With the Stars in 2014 she would be following in Riley's footsteps just one season later. Riley won Dancing With the Stars season 17 with partner Derek Hough on Nov. 26.

Cody Simpson Competing on Dancing With the Stars Next Season?

Another singer is reportedly reading to participate in Dancing With the Stars next year as well. Singer/model Cassie Ventura is also preparing to be on the show, according to an insider via Star magazine. The insider claims that the singer "loves to dance" and is willing to do the show now despite passing on offers in previous seasons. Ventura is more often known as just "Cassie" and is most famous for her hit song Me & U in the mid-2000s.

Both Rivera and Ventura have previous performing experience, which would likely give them the advantage of going further in the competition should they join. In season 17, High School Musical star Corbin Bleu had previous dancing experience and came in second place to Riley.
