Though may thought he would choose to be with Sabrina (Teresa Castillo), Patrick (Jason Thompson) will officially go back to his Robin (Kimberly McCullogh) in time for Christmas on General Hospital.

The Monday, Dec. 23 episode is a repeat of the one originally scheduled to air Friday, Dec. 20 that was pre-empted for a presidential press conference. In a preview for the segment, Patrick knocks on his Robin's door and apologizes for making her wait for him, finally reuniting the couple.

Patrick previously thought Robin had died in an explosion. In reality, she was kidnapped by Dr. Olbrecht (Kathleen Gati) and held hostage by Jerry Jax (Sebastian Roche). After escaping she was told she could stay with Nikolas (Tyler Christopher), but could not reunite with her husband and daughter until she produced a cure for polonium poisoning for Jerry. When she showed up at Patrick's wedding to Sabrina, she was spotted by Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) and the wedding was called off.

Patrick has finally chosen that he wants to be with Robin.

"I should have been here a long time ago. I shouldn't have left you waiting. I'm an idiot," he said to her in the preview clip. "...I'm home now."

"What does this mean?" she asked.

"It means that I'm where I belong," he replied.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
