The Bachelor's Juan Pablo Galavis is making his media rounds and during a recent interview with Extra TV, Galavis revealed just why he chose to be the bachelor for the show's 18th season.

"I knew that this year I wanted to have a family and get married."

There was stiff competition for the 27 ladies who Galavis described as "fuego mucho" (meaning "very hot" in Spanish) who vied for Galavis to pick them. From an NBA dancer, school teacher and a woman who once served as a district attorney.

"I was very impressed," Galavis said.

So impressed that he coyly shied away from answering whether he made out with any of the women on the first night.

"I'll save it. I'll save it for you to watch it. I'm just kidding. We'll figure it out. Just watch it."

As for the ladies who made a lasting impression, Galavis is very adamant about them knowing how to dance. But the Latino stud said speaking Spanish isn't a requirement for the ladies.

"I'll teach her a little bit," he said.

While the ladies vied for the final rose, one girl does have Galavis's heart already. His four-year-old daughter Camilla.

"[She] is the biggest part. You know, she has to take care of me but understand my situation. I love her a lot because she's gonna be my princess forever. It's hard."

Still, during a media call last week, Galavis said he isn't looking for Camilla's help when it comes to choosing the final winner.

"When I'm dating on a regular basis, whenever possible, I introduce my girlfriend as a friend of Daddy's. We don't hold hands, we don't kiss, we don't sleep over, we don't do anything in front of my daughter."

It isn't clear if Camilla has met any of the ladies, but Galavis did stress that she will not be watching.

The Bachelor returns for the 18th season on Sun. Jan. 5 for a two-night premiere. The first episode airs Jan. 6.
