Robin Roberts mentioned her longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign for the first time on television Monday, Jan. 6.

After coming out in a heartfelt Facebook post on Dec. 29, Roberts shared a family photo of her and Laign after traveling to Baton Rouge, La. for the GMA' anchor's niece's wedding.

"Next to me is my girlfriend, Amber, and my sister-in-law, Cynthia, and my brother, Butch. And it was a glorious, glorious time that weekend," Roberts said.

Co-anchor, George Stephanopolous chimed in and commented how happy Roberts looked.

"You all look so happy there," he noted. "And Robin, it was no surprise to any of us, but in your end of year post, you did tell everyone about Amber and about your relationship. I hope that was a good experience for you."

Roberts smiled and responded, "I have never been happier and healthier than I am right now. And my year-end post was just full of gratitude and just telling everyone all that I'm grateful for, including my girlfriend Amber, who really loved me through a difficult year."

The couple have been together for 10 years and Roberts added that she's "very happy for the support" she's recieved so far.

First lady, Michelle Obama was one of many celebrities that reached out to Roberts after her coming out.

"I am so happy for you and Amber!" the first lady tweeted. "You continue to make us all proud," Obama added, signing the tweet "mo" to indicate she wrote the tweet herself and not her staff.
