The Dunphys and the Pritchetts are taking their hilarious familial dysfunction Down Under this spring.

ABC's Modern Family will be shooting jetting off to Australia this February to shoot an episode that will air later this season.

"We are so excited about our trip down under and we promise not to do any 'down under' jokes," said executive producer Steve Levitan, according to E!. "We look forward to a fantastic shoot in many exotic locations."

The exotic location-based installment of the award winning comedy will join the ranks of season 1's "Hawaii" and season 3's "Dude Ranch" as the series' vacation endeavors.

"We loved the family vacation episodes we shot in Hawaii and Wyoming - this one is certainly our most ambitious yet. We promise to feature a kangaroo, a koala and a boomerang," Levitan joked, according to E!. "I'm sure there will be lots more, but so far that's all we know about Australia - our American school system is a disaster."

Australia isn't the only destination on writers' minds, however. Executive producer Chris Lloyd recently revealed to TV Guide his burgeoning plans for a Las Vegas episode. Weather or not the Modern Family clan will make it to Sin City this season, however, remains unclear.

"It's looking like we probably will do an episode where everybody goes to Las Vegas," Lloyd explained the TV Guide. "It's at the seventy-five percent stage now, but I believe we will go there. We're putting some finishing touches on that now."

Modern Family  will return with new episodes on Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Kicking off the second half of the season will be "And One To Grow On," during which Phil (Ty Burrell) will find himself behind bars.
