The official trailer for Game of Thrones season 4 was released by HBO on Sunday, previewing many interesting developments in the land of Westeros.

One of the more intriguing shots of the Game of Thrones season 4 trailer is that of dragons flying over King's Landing. Considering the only character known to have dragons is Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), this suggests that she could be arriving to take the Iron Throne in season 4.

"They have a choice," Daenerys says firmly in the trailer. "They can live in my new world or they can die in their old one." The trailer shows shots of the Lannisters during her speech, indicating that she will try to take over King's Landing shortly.

The trailer also features Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) in shackles and in prison. This is due to a huge development that occurs in the second half of A Storm of Swords, the third book in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series. Game of Thrones season 4 is bound to be an action-packed season, with many major characters putting their lives in great danger. As Melisandre (Carice van Houten) notes in the trailer, "There is only one hell: the one we live in now."

Game of Thrones season 4 premieres Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
