Miley Cyrus announced her MTV Unplugged episode, via Twitter on Jan 20.

"@MTV PRESENTS MILEY CYRUS: MTV UNPLUGGED YALL check it out January 29th!" the singer-songwriter tweeted.

Cyrus will perform stripped down, completely acoustic versions of her recent hits like Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop from Bangerz. MTV has also hinted at the possibility of surprise guests adding to the raw energy, and suggests that the session will include "more intimate reinventions" of the tracks, which essentially nestle in a digital groove and big beats.

The show will act like a precursor to Cyrus' Bangerz tour, which she will kick start on Feb. 14 in Vancouver.

Cyrus recently revealed more details about the tour during a press call on Jan. 17, suggesting that she would have some special personal gifts for fans at the concerts.

"I want to give [my fans] real things they can collect," she said. "I'm a little bit of a hoarder, it's my mom's worst nightmare. [And] I hope my fans become hoarders also [so] I'm giving a lot of junk away [at the shows]...I'll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table."

Cyrus will be joining a prestigious group of musicians like Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Adele, Katy Perry and Jay-Z who have had exclusive MTV Unplugged episodes in the past.

Cyrus topped the list for MTV's Best Artists in 2013.

Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged will air on Jan. 29 at 9 p.m. E.T. on MTV.
