A new season 7 breakdown reveals the role of Keith, a drummer in James' (Nathan Parsons) band who takes a shine to Arlene, according to TVLine. Keith could be Arlene's new man after grieving the loss of husband Terry in season 6.

This may not sit well with Arlene's portrayer Preston, who previously told The Hollywood Reporter that she didn't want her character to have a love interest in season 7.

"I hope they don't pair her up with somebody," she said at the time. "I'd like to see her be a strong woman and be OK in the world as a mom and an owner of a business and not be someone who doesn't feel complete if she doesn't have a man. This would be a nice evolution for her."

Season 6 featured Arlene rising to the position of owner of Bellefleur's Bar and Grill, taking over for Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell).

"I'm really just as excited as the fans to see where they take us," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "We're in good hands and I feel like it's the right thing to do to end the show when the stories are really strong still and really put all of our energies into making it the best season that we've ever had and go out on a high instead of trailing along like a lot of shows do just to keep it going."

True Blood season 7 premieres in summer 2014 on HBO. The network has not yet revealed a premiere date yet, but it will likely begin in June like season 6.
