Lea Michele is angling to star in a new season of American Horror Story, based on a recent report.

Taissa Farmiga Not Returning For Season 4?

Michele recently spoke with Billboard about taking on a role in American Horror Story, confirming that she's spoken about it to Ryan Murphy, the creator her show Glee as well as American Horror Story.

"I've basically talked to [Ryan Murphy] about it every day," Michele revealed. "If I could get my fans to start working on that for me, that would be great. I've been literally begging him."

Michele is pretty busy as it is, continuing to star in Glee while promoting her first studio album Louder. Therefore, a role in American Horror Story might not happen until after Glee is over, which Michele has already considered.

"It would probably have to be for their season five or something like that," she said. "I think it would be a great opportunity for people in the acting world to see."

She then described her journey from Broadway to Los Angeles and how tied she's become to Rachel Berry, her character on Glee.

"Outside of Glee and outside of [Louder] will be continued opportunities for people to see me as an actor and as a singer."

Considering her working relationship with Murphy, it might not be that difficult for Michele to at least attain a guest role on a future season of American Horror Story. For now, it looks like fans of the actress/singer will have to wait another year.

American Horror Story season 4 premieres in fall 2014 on FX, though the network has not yet scheduled a specific air date.
