For those eager to get their hands on the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 on the Verizon network might have to wait one day longer. Sammy's latest handsets were slated to ship on July 9th but do to some delays, the release date has been pushed back to July 10th.

Other US networks will start shipping the Galaxy S3 on June 21st. Despite Apple's effort to ban the device's launch in the US, the phone will be released on schedule for most of the other carriers.

Apple had filed a law suit earlier this week, claiming that the Galaxy S3 breached two of its patents.

Samsung denied it, saying in a statement: "The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California court rejected Apple's attempt to circumvent the legal process in order to delay the launch of the Galaxy S III .We will vigorously oppose the request and demonstrate to the court that the Galaxy S3 is innovative and distinctive. We would like to assure customers that the US launch and sales of the Galaxy S3 will proceed as planned."

Samsung's latest mobile device was revealed last month in London.

Samsung will feature Qualcomm's dual-core s4 chip in its U.S. version of the smartphone. Other specifications include a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, a 2100mA battery and Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Verizon will be selling the super fast 4G LTE version of the SGS3, which will come with a dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU

The I9300 Galaxy S3 model recently received a software update. The update is to bring improved stability. It does not have any noticeable changes yet. For those lucky people who already own the Galaxy S3 in Europe, they can go to settings and just select "software update" to install the update.

Over 10 million devices have been sold so far and is reportedly the fastest-selling smartphone device to date, according to Tech Source.
