One of the new characters introduced on season 2 of Orange is the New Black will make a big impression on the prison, according to recent reports.

Larry Takes Advantage of Piper In Season 2?

There will be a new character named Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) who makes herself known in the prison through her conflict with Red (Kate Mulgrew) as well as her intimate affection.

"Kudos to Jenji because I think this is one of the more complex characters I've ever played," Toussaint said at a Paley Center event for the show Friday night. "And possibly one of the more difficult ones I've played because in order to play her, I kind of have to let my shattered-self drive the car for six months. She's a complex and interesting character that interacts intimately with all these characters. She's not afraid of intimacy."

Red Set To "Survive" In Prison By Using "Strategy"?

Vee was sent to prison after being discovered as a drug lord who employed children. The character might be using her street smarts on the girls of the prison, according to Toussaint.

"I think it'll be interesting seeing how this character is received ... she is a character that plays and enjoys the game," Toussaint teased. "She's incredibly engaging and draws people into the big game. And I have a great deal of fun."

Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan also revealed at the Paley Center event that there would be several characters receiving flashbacks in season 2, some of which have not received flashbacks before.

Among those getting flashbacks in season 2 are Vee, Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Lorna (Yael Stone), Sister Ingalls (Beth Fowler) and Miss Rosa (Barbara Rosenblat).

Orange is the New Black season 2 premieres in full on Friday, June 6 through Netflix Watch Instantly.
