The planned rescue of Baby Ben could go horribly wrong on General Hospital.

Britt and Obrecht Scheme Against Dante and Lulu?

Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has been holed up with Baby Ben at Liz's (Rebecca Herbst) ever since kidnapping him when the truth came out that he wasn't Britt's (Kelly Thiebaud) son. Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) was also recently brought in and held at gunpoint by Obrecht as well after he tried to sacrifice himself for Liz. When Britt tries to do the right thing, however, and rescue Ben so he can be returned to his biological parents, the plan could go horrible awry.

Britt has led Dante (Dominic Zamrogna) to the scene as well, and has hoped she could convince her mother to get Ben handed over to her, so she can then return him to Dante and Lulu (Emmee Rylan). To trick her mother, Britt is there under the false pretense that she plans on taking Ben and leaving town with him. However, Obrecht may get wise to the plan in a preview clip for the Tuesday, April 8 episode.

Nikolas Sacrifices Himself For Liz?

"Not so fast," she says in the clip as Liz prepares to hand Ben over to Britt.

On the other side of the door, ready to barge in and take control by force if necessary, Dante listens in and says, "What are you doing Obrecht?"

If Obrecht realizes the plan and gets upset, she could fire off her gun -- and could make Liz the target of her gunfire. If Liz hadn't investigated Britt, then the truth about her not being Ben's mother would never have come out.

Meanwhile, back at the police station, Lulu fears her worst nightmares will come true and something will happen that prevents her from ever seeing her son again -- and effectively ends her struggles to become a parent once and for all.

"What if I never hold my son again?" she cries to Anna (Finola Hughes).

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
