Filing for bankruptcy isn't stopping Todd Chrisley and his family from living a lavish and luxurious lifestyle on television.

Details Behind Todd Chrisley's Bankruptcy

The family's reality series, Chrisley Knows Best airs Tuesday nights on USA and Todd recently gave a tour of their mansion, despite filing for bankruptcy in August 2012.

He told viewers, "This is the home that my wife and I chose to bring up our children in. Although it's much larger than my wife and I ever anticipated owning, it was very important for me for the house not to feel so grand."

Todd Accused of Hiding Assets?

Todd then showed viewers the foyer, library with a piano (that no one knows how to play), formal dining room and formal living room including art from CoCo Chanel's apartment in Paris. He also went through the kitchen which he describes as "everything that [his wife] Julie" wanted. Check out his home here.

While Todd and his family enjoy their "grand" home, he is currently being accused of hiding assets during his bankruptcy claim. The case's trustee, Jason Pettie believes that he has used his Julie to make it seem like the family has way lets assets than they actually do.

In a claim Pettie wrote, "Neither [Chrisley nor his wife, Julie] have been employed since 2012. However, they continue to live in lavish residences, drive expensive vehicles and travel extensively."

Pettie also believes Todd lied when it came to what the clothes in his closet were worth. While Chrisley put their price tag at $650, Pettie isn't buying it. He went as far as calling Saks Fifth Avenue and Louis Vuitton to verify that Todd's clothes are worth much more than $650.

Still, Todd's lawyer, Robert Furr, maintains that Pettie's accusations are false.

"He has cooperated fully. He has been totally honest and forthright. He is not hiding assets. There are procedural aspects regarding the value of certain personal property that he owns," Furr said. We'll have the clothes appraised. But I go on eBay, and used designer clothes don't sell for much. These are used clothes."
