Secreted away under the Metropolitan Public Library is a vast collection of supernatural artifacts, and the archives' newest gatekeepers have just finished up their first week of filming for The Librarians.

The Librarian film series has been dormant since 2008 but TNT has assembled four new Librarians to continue courting the world's most dangerous and mysterious objects (with an occasional assist from Flynn Carson (Noah Wyle) himself).

Thanks to Twitter, fans are quickly getting to know the latest additions to the Dean Devlin (Leverage) series. It has only been a little over a week since the new series began filming in Portland, Ore., but Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Kim, and Rebecca Romijn have been carefully dropping hints about their new alter-egos.

Kane has ditched his long locks and gruff Leverage attitude to play an Oklahoma oil worker named Jake Stone, a character that comes equipped with an IQ of 190 and a penchant for art history. Meanwhile, Kim is looking sleek in a suit as tech wizard Ezekiel Jones, Booth is getting her sensory hardwiring tangled as a synesthesia-afflicted Cassandra, and Romijn has her hands full trying to protect the lot of them.

Fans may even have a glimpse of a new villain. Lesley-Ann Brandt is on set practicing her fight skills and the actress appears to be donning a Serpent Brotherhood tattoo.

Check out the behind-the-scenes photos above and tell us what you think about the new series in the poll below!

The Librarian will air on TNT later this year. Click the video below to see a preview for 2004's the Librarian: Quest for the Spear.
