Director James Wan announced that the las leg of filming for Fast and Furious 7 has begun in Los Angeles, via his Twitter account on May 9.

The director wrote about moving on from Atlanta and starting the "last stretch" in Los Angeles:

"Farewell Atlanta. Thanks for the warm memories & to all the amazing local crew. Time to move onto the last stretch- LA. Time to go home. #F7"

First Glimpse of Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock on Set of Movie in Abu Dhabi? 

Until most recently the production for the film was taking place in Abu Dhabi from where cast members like Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson had been actively updating fans with all developments from the Middle East.

Even Paul Walker's younger brothers Cody and Caleb joined the cast and crew in Abu Dhabi for filming.

The film's Facebook page made the announcement the official on April 15 stating that Walker's younger brothers would be filling in to help finish Walker's character, Brian O'Connor's story in the film: 

"We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue," the statement reads. "We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it's among the strongest work of his career."

Vin Diesel Suffers Concussion While Filming Fast and Furious 7   

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in the year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Luke Evans, Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.

Fast and Furious 7 hits theaters in July 2014.
