Despite the investigation being fully underway, the list of suspects remains too long to allow someone to be charged with Nick Fallon's (Blake Berris) murder on Days of Our Lives.

Sonny Suspected In Nick's Murder?

Sonny (Freddie Smith) was previously brought in for questioning in the murder, but so far doesn't appear guilty, opening the field for other suspects -- namely his soon-to-be stepfather-in-law E.J. (James Scott).

E.J. was actually guilty of hiring a hitman and getting the money together to pay for it in an attempt to keep Nick from exposing his secret affair with Abigail (Kate Mansi). It is unknown if his hitman had done the job, but he has officially become a suspect now that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) has an incriminating photo that could implicate him. Either she has photographic evidence of E.J. making plans with his hitman or has gotten her hands on one of Nick's photos, which prove his affair. Either way, the evidence will implicate him in the murder.

Abigail Feels Guilt Over Nick's Murder?

Sonny's husband, Will (Guy Wilson), could also come under suspicion after he makes a confession. He isn't likely to confess to murdering Nick, if he is even guilty of the crime, but what he confesses to could still be something which will implicate him as well -- and possibly get his husband off the suspect list.

Meanwhile, Abigail and Ben's (Justin Gaston) budding romance will finally start building into something more, as the young couple will finally share a first kiss. The romance could help take Abigail's mind off the murder as well.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. ion NBC.
