Alicia Will Run For State's Attorney As Show Becomes More Political?

While the finale of the CBS legal drama focussed on many things, one of the important storylines that was teased out and will be be picked up in the next season related to Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and Cary's (Matt Czuchry) relationship. Via a leaked video at the Lockhart/Gardner offices, Cary sees Diane tell the other partners that she Kalinda could get information out of Cary regarding a case they were fighting, as Kalinda had a way with him. Later, the tension seemed to surface as Cary and Kalinda were in bed.

In a recent E!Online interview, Robert revealed that the story will be followed through on in the next season and things could go either way for this couple.

"Yes, you saw a little of it in the finale. It's picked up right away in the beginning of next season," Robert said. "It's too interesting to see how Cary, who thinks he's disrespected by Kalinda and Kalinda now thinks Cary is pushing things in an odd direction with her, how they're either going to make up or get worse."

The highlight of the finale was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) becomea candidate for State's Attorney. A few other big changes were afoot, with Diane (Christine Baranski) deciding to join Florrick/Agos. The cliffhanger obvioulsy had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.
