Sons of Anarchy show runner Kurt Sutter has revealed that a major role has been cast for the show's seventh and final season.

New Female Sheriff In Town Rules Over Charming In Sons of Anarchy Final Season?

Sutter revealed in his weekly YouTube "vlog" WTFSutter that they have casted for a major role for Season 7 but he does not want to announce who it is that has been cast.

"I don't want to announce, I don't want to steal publicity thunder, so I will wait until either the network or the actor issues some kind of statement," he said, noting that the actor will be in eight episodes of the final season, but "probably more."

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Premiere Details Revealed?

He also revealed that the first table read for Season 7 is set to go down Tuesday and they will be shooting the first two episodes concurrently due to the episodes using many of the same locations.

"So we will have a big through read-through, we're going to read the first two episodes, then I'm going to tone the first two episodes together," Sutter explained. "And then we'll shoot the two of them. We're not finishing simultaneously -- sometimes you'll have two episodes, and if a lot of the locations dovetail into each other, you'll crossboard them and shoot them together."

With production gearing up, it is only a matter of time before more Sons of Anarchy news is announced, as well as possible spoilers.

Sons of Anarchy Season 7 premieres this fall on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date for the motorcycle drama's final episodes.
